Distance Learning Course
NCFE Intermediate Certificate in Provision of Activities in a Care Setting
We are a registered centre for this qualification. It is also offered by a number of Further Education colleges around the country.
This course is designed for those responsible for co-ordinating and delivering activities in care settings. The course aims to increase individual workers knowledge and skills in planning, carrying out and evaluating activities, thereby enhancing the quality of care in care settings. The skills developed are transferable, and equally relevant to those delivering day care, domiciliary-based care and sheltered housing provision.
The learning materials are designed for learners to work through at their own pace, with the help of a tutor. Learners work through the support materials and complete activities and tutor-marked assessments for each unit. All assessments are applicable to the learners working environment, requiring the candidate to develop, implement and evaluate real activities in their care setting. Completed assessments will act as a useful working tool in developing good practice.
All assignments are submitted by post and the initial induction can be done over the phone if necessary. We charge £300 for the course and we can arrange for payment by installments if necessary.
