Training
As the care sector has become more aware of the importance of activity we have received an ever increasing number of requests for training sessions. NAPA has always maintained that care staff need training and support to integrate activity into the daily lives of older people. We have evolved a number of training packages to support this aim.
NAPA recognises that training budgets are usually under pressure to achieve all that is now expected by legislation and inspection processes. We are very cost conscious when setting fees for training in order to share our expertise with the widest possible audience.
Whenever possible we provide trainers in house for in-house training days. We also maintain a list of freelance trainers, that share the NAPA philosophy, which we are happy to pass on. Training Days bring members together at venues around the country for training and networking. They are staffed as the programme requires but usually have a mixture of NAPA staff and guest speakers/trainers. Our Distance Learning Course is available through a number of further education colleges and through our office. This work is staffed in house and supported by assessors and moderators drawn from within the membership.
Consultancy
We are keen to share our expertise and happy to quote for consultancy work. Some care settings prefer to invest in discussing their needs. We can offer support in areas such as assessing current activity provision, contribute to a training needs analysis or simply talk through issues with Managers. We can also put you in touch with a number of members who offer specialist consultancy services.
