"Activity is at the heart of care for older people"

Activity is essential to us all. To be active is to be involved in life and to have people to see, places to go and things to do.

Membership

NAPA is the only voluntary organisation dedicated to increasing the profile and understanding of the activity needs for older people, and equipping staff with the skills to enable older people to enjoy a range of activity whilst living in care settings

Publications

NAPA stands for National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People. As a membership charity, close links with our members ensures we speak with authority on activity provision for older people.

About NAPA

"Studies suggest that almost 50% of care home residents' time is spent asleep, socially withdrawn or inactive, with only 3% on constructive activity" (Ballard et al 2001)
